This Friday April, 23rd the exhibition "SZB909 des bombes sur St Ghislain" was inaugurated. You will find hereafter some pictures. This event was possible thanks to the years long researches of Philippes Gilgean. Thanks to him and his scale modeller friends who really made a good job to evocate the price of our freedom.

If you are interested by the event please go soon as the exhibition will close on 02/05/2010.

Dirk de Quick send us information about a ceremony and the inauguration of a monument in memory of the crew of the Lancaster JI-C (LL652) to be held in Geraadsbergen on May 5th.

These young men are still alive in our memory. Thanks to the dedicated persons who help us remember their sacrifice.

Please note the rendez-vous at 10:00 Address of the day : Moenebroekstraat, Schendelbeke-Geraardsbergen.
More details here thanks to Dirk

André Bar prepared the biography of Guy Hanze which is now availlable on the site Belgians in RAF & SAAF 1940-1945. Please click here and navigate to the windows "documents"

Bits & nuts

This Saturday, our Friends of the Dutch SKHV (Stichting Koninklijke Luchtmacht Historische Vlucht) visited the B-25 in Grimbergen. They operate the B-25 Sarinha from Gilze-Rijen.

Following the successfull move to Grimbergen the page of the project "a B-25 back to Belgium" is updated. If anyone want to sponsor our project, there are still leisure flights in Chipmunk of Piper J3 Cub to win. Visit the page to learn more

The Debongnies booklet continue to attract the attention of Aviation addicts with contacts in Germany, Austria & the Netherlands.

Nicolas was contacted by Russian colleagues who are building a replica of the Farman HF VII. They were looking for drawings of the E.N.V. engine as the one used on the Voisin de Caters. Nicolas helped them.

Our worldwide network is growing (in blue, countries where we have regular correspondants).

Thanks to Serge & Eric the Comic Strip page is updated with a lot of new marvels

Last but not least, next week the book Baron de Caters ou la folie des volants will be availlable. We had the chance to have a look at the book and the iconography is exceptionnal.
