News 04/04/2009

A little bit too late,

We are sorry to be a little bit later than usual but we hope you will enjoy the news.

Last week, Jean-Luc Beghin visited us again. Thanks to Dédé, Etienne, Karl and David, he can access the cockpit of the Meteor F8 and the Ouragan. We had the opportunity to share with view pictures of theses two aircraft.

Our friends of the “Belgians in Raf & Saaf 1940 – 1945” were in Florennes  for the homage to Toto Bouzin. Marc Artiges wrote for us the biography of Henri Picard. You will find this document on the site of the group. Being in Florennes, our friends also honored this Belgian who flows with the RAF.

Our teams are still very active. Unfortunately, this week we have only pictures of the Tipsy but a lot of other marvels are in the tube.

We add the links to 3 more videos on the Sabena (and we salute our friends of the Sabena teams).

The Air Info of André Dillien is chronicled in one of the last “Le Fana de l’Aéronautique”.

Last but not least, you can now order the last last book of our friend Daniel Brackx.

Hoping to see you soon.

Thanks to Philippe, Louis and Pascal for information or links included in these news.

De Seversky P-35 werd blijkbaar in België voorgesteld, zo rond einde v/d jaren 1930.  Heeft er iemand meer info over die voorstelling ?  In welk kader, waar (vliegveld Evere ?), datum, enz ??

De Caters exhibition at the Museum

15.10.2008 - 28.02.2009

In the magical setting of the Royal Museum of the Army, the exhibition shows how many authors have drawn inspiration from history and military techniques.  In visiting the exhibition, the public will go through all the collections of the Museum.  Visitors will discover original and amusing showcases of items of the collections and how they are reflected in the comic strips.  The two dimensions of the comic strip are thus juxtaposed to the real world.
